Sümer Ezgü’s 7 minutes long film about Atatürk has been completed. Ezgü has made extensive research for this 7minutes documentary film which was inspired by Atatürk’s dance in a ball in Bursa in 1938. Beginning from the 19th May, the film will be broadcasted on televisions and sinema houses and also will be distributed to students as VCDs.

ZEYBEK DANCE TURNS INTO A SHORT FILM - 26/03/2008 - Turkish Daily News
Eight months before his death Turkey's founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, had attended a ball in the city of Bursa. A short film recounting the event has been shot, during which Atatürk is shown dancing the waltz and soon after zeybek, a Turkish folk dance.

GE. Es sollte ein besonderer Tag beim Fan Fest zur Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Gelsenkirchen werden, ein Tag für die Türkisch-stämmigen Mitbürger in Gelsenkirchen. Nur leider fanden sie nicht den Weg zur Glückauf-Kampfbahn und verpassten damit ein tolles Konzert, das an guter Stimmung kaum noch zu überbieten war.

TÜRKISCHER ABEND BEIM FAN FEST IN GE - 03/07/2006 - www.pokorra.com
Gestern waren wir zu einem Fan Fest in der ehrwürdigen "Kampfbahn Glückauf" (Eröffnung 1928) zu Gast. Die Tickets für dieses Konzert hatte meine Frau Brigitte bei einer Aktion der Westdeutschen Allgemeinen Zeitung (WAZ) gewonnen. Also machten wir uns per Straßenbahn gegen 18.30 Uhr auf den Weg. Temperaturen zu dieser Zeit im Stadion über 30°C. So suchten wir nach einer klassischen türkischen Stärkung - Döner - zunächst einmal ein schattiges Plätzchen auf der denkmalgeschützten Haupttribüne auf.
